Dynamic Schedules Error

I am getting a error with a description of "Index was outside the bounds of the array." on all of my dynamic schedules. Is there a way to fix this without having to recreate all of the schedules?

    Hi Theresa,

Support has emailed you back. The error is stating that it cannot find the Crystal 2011 runtimes (also known as crystal 13 runtimes) installed. It appears during the installation that the version of Crystal selected was for 2011.

Based on what you have provided in the support ticket, you are using Crystal 2008. You will need to close CRD, then go to windows Start > Programs > ChristianSteven > CRD > and click 'Select Crystal Runtimse.' From this menu you will then select Crystal 2008 (which is the crystal 12 runtimes). You should then be able to click ok and get a successful message in which you can then open CRD without error.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Theresa,

Can you please provide the following so that I can try to better assist you:
    -The full error
-Full version of CRD you are on
-What format type are these exporting to? CSV, XML?

Full Error Message (trying to modify properties or trying to execute):

    Error Number: 9
    Module Name: EditSchedule
    Line Number: 2760
Error Description: Index was outside the bounds of the array.
    Suggestion:

    Error Number: 9
    Module Name: RunDynamicSchedule
    Line Number: 650
Error Description: Index was outside the bounds of the array.
    Suggestion:

    Version: Version 7.1`Build 20131015/120

    Format: xls and pdf.

I am planning on getting my prod environment up and running on the new version next week anyway, just checking to see if there was something I could do in the meantime. Everything is working fine in my dev environment and I even did a database move and upgrade recently. Overall the impact is not that major at the moment.

    Hi Theresa,

Thank you for the information you have provided. I have found the issue with the error is most common with the csv format (which uses the same files as .xls and .xlsx to export). This error I have not seen as common when exporting to .pdf.

At this time I recommend first to refresh the schedules (in case the actual crystal report has been modified). I would try refreshing just 1 at first to see if that works before refreshing them all.

Secondly, please double check and confirm that you do still have excel 32 bit version installed (and registered).

If neither of these resolve the issue I would recommend updating to the most current version of CRD as the last option.

    I hope this helps!

I had already tried refreshing and no other changes have taken place on the server (excel is still 32bit).

I am going to go ahead and upgrade, which I need to do regardless.

I will post an update after the upgrade.

    Hi Theresa,

Thank you for the update. One last thing, if you execute one of the dynamic schedules manually, does that work?

Please make sure before updating that you do the following:

    -Stop the CRD scheduler
-Take a back up (CRD > System > Back up)

If you do continue to have issues after the update, I recommend logging a support ticket that way we can do a remote meeting and take a look further. You can log a ticket by going into CRD > System > Log a call or by clicking going to: http://www.christiansteven.com/support-crd

Yes, the error occurs when I try to execute the report(s) manually and I also get an error when I try to modify/view the properties.

I just opened a support ticket. While trying to perform the upgrade, we are getting the following error.

    Error Number: 53
    Error Source: .ctor

This is all AFTER the install is performed? (selecting the CR version) I was told that 2008 was selected during the install, but since I am not the person who literally performed the install, I cannot guarantee this.
