COMPATIBILITY WITH SSRS & SQL SERVER
SQL-RD will export and distribute reports served by the following versions of SSRS:

Reporting Services 2005
Reporting Services 2008
Reporting Services 2008R2
Reporting Services 2012
Reporting Services 2016

SQL-RD can be used to interface with the following versions of SQL Server databases:

SQL Server 2005
SQL Server 2008
SQL Server 2008R2
SQL Server 2012
SQL Server 2014
SQL Server 2016

Note: If using the default local instance, SQL-RD will install the database using the free SQL Server 2008 r2 Express edition.

You can use SQL-RD to interface with, and manage, multiple instances of SSRS

  • You can use SQL-RD to interface with, and manage, multiple instances of SSRS reports.  Simply point the application to the server’s URL to connect to the reports that are stored on that server. This makes SQL-RD an important tool for managing multiple SSRS installations (local and remote) from a single application interface. You can even mix and match different versions of SSRS e.g. Report 1 comes from a SSRS 2005 installation, but report 2 comes from an SSRS 2008R2 installation, and so on.
